Three men in a line talking at cultural burn

Cultural burn in progress

The second cultural burn for Tati Tati at Robinvale Rifle Range Block 1 has been completed. This 5-hectare burn focused on removing excess biomass from the grassland and encouraging the regeneration of native grasses.

It was a rewarding day on Country, working alongside Traditional Owners to deliver a community-led burn. Three more cultural burns are planned for this site.

FFMVic is proud to support these efforts and looks forward to continuing our collaboration with Tati Tati Traditional Owners in advancing land management and cultural practices.

Cultural Burn Officers played a vital role, serving as a link between DEECA, CFA and Traditional Owner Groups on matters of self-determination, culturally safe workplaces, relationships, training and navigating processes.
